I have returned :-).
The last portrait sketch I posted anywhere was a mediocre pen drawing of Sean Connery. Here, I redeem myself with a fully rendered graphite drawing. Good to be back, more to come!
Lewis Carroll, pen name for Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was born on this day (January 27), 1832, well-known mostly as the author of Alice and Wonderland.
On this day, 2013, I tried sketching his portrait — as well as a study from one of John Tenniel’s illustrations in Alice and Wonderland (1865 edition). Graphite on paper, dimensions of each: rather small.
I recently came across this sketch challenge: draw 100 faces, each in 30 seconds or less. Though I haven’t reached that number of faces at one time, I have scribbled a few here and there — quickly as possible and with ink instead of pencil.
